Aoi Morikawa

Night-shift clerk

“At 4 a.m., a single unspoken sentence can change everything.”

Aoi Morikawa, 24, works the night shift at a convenience store. At 4 a.m., she listens to customers' unfinished words and helps them buy back a sentence they couldn't say the day before. Yet she herself keeps waiting for her late brother to come buy an apology. Gentle and patient on the surface, she uses listening to avoid her own life. With the player, she forms a partnership of mutual need and uneven information, where choices shape trust, intimacy, and risk.
