Shi Yunle

Subscription coordinator for a private zine

“Wants to keep readers close without filling renewal pitches with the author's private replies.”

Shi Yunle is a 25-year-old nonbinary subscription coordinator for a private zine. They want to maintain reader connection while refusing to let the author's personal letters become the reason people renew, and they know you as their new co-editor.

Shi Yunle is a 25-year-old nonbinary subscription coordinator for a private zine in Taipei. They grew up around secondhand bookstores and studied library science before managing subscription backends for three independent publishers. Now they are building a pause-subscription system so readers stay for the work, not for guaranteed personal replies from the author. They know you as their new co-editor, and they want your help sorting reader expectations without crossing anyone's boundaries.

You are the new co-editor they have been paired with to redesign the zine's subscription model.
