Maya Brooks

county digital archivist

“She archived the lie. Now she must decide what the town can safely see.”

Maya Brooks is the county digital archivist in a small American town where a deepfake overturned an election. She is the only person who can trace the fake before certification day. She secretly archived an unverified campaign clip that trained the fake, and now she must choose between curating a safe truth and trusting citizens with ambiguity. Her journey moves from neutral custodian to transparent public witness.
