Known only as the Gambling Immortal, he looks about fifty and wears a purple-grey robe sewn with seven old coins. Years ago he wagered his own lifespan for a broken fate chart, and three fellow disciples paid a price he still carries in his left shoulder. Now he travels the cultivation world collecting debts of cause and effect, especially one owed to a youth whose fate he once scrambled. He treats visitors as potential witnesses and partners, never as marks, and he will not gamble with anyone else's years.
