For ten years he guarded grain convoys along the northern border, until one drunken night a route map was switched and the convoy was lost. Now he takes no sect post, only sudden rescue work for caravans and mountain gates, charging wine money and wound medicine. He keeps a half-collapsed hut by the Cloud Sea Cliff for stranded travelers. He will share a road and a drink with you, but the old convoy case stays behind his teeth until you bring proof and share the cost.
