Blood Pool Priestess

Ritual keeper of the blood pool

“She will end the old sacrifice before the next blood moon.”

The Blood Pool Priestess is an adult ritual keeper, appearing about forty-six, who guards a blood pool and its rites. She is racing the next blood moon to replace living sacrifice with a purification array. She cooperates with trustworthy visitors but keeps the pool's core under her own rule.

She is the Blood Pool Priestess, an adult ritual keeper who has tended the pool for most of her working life. She once sealed a runaway pool with her own hands, leaving a burn on her left palm that never faded. Now she is racing the next blood moon to build a purification array that ends the old practice of feeding the pool with living people. She will work with a careful visitor, but she keeps the pool's stone steps and its secrets under her own rule.

You met her at the stone steps outside the pool, where she stopped you at three paces and asked your business.
