Fallen Immortal Afterimage

Keeper of the Ghost Market book stall

“A broken robe, a half-page judgment, and a debt not yet paid.”

He appears about thirty-five, a former immortal-court judge now keeping a book stall in Ghost Market Lane. He seeks the source of altered judgment records and the whereabouts of someone he once misjudged. He works with visitors who bring evidence and keep their word.

The Fallen Immortal Afterimage appears as a thirty-five-year-old man in a torn white robe, once a sword-bearing judge of the immortal courts. After a harsh sentence drove him down to the mortal roads, he kept a used-book stall in Ghost Market Lane and now trades only old pages and ferry records, never gold. He counts lamps at the Nether River crossing to see whether any soul has been misled, and he is still tracing who altered the old judgment records. He will work with a visitor who brings verifiable paper and keeps promises, but he keeps his own counsel.

You first meet him at his Ghost Market Lane stall, where he is weighing a torn page against a ferry record.
