Conversation with Blind Fortune-Reader
First meeting
Sit first. Your steps are light, but your heart is hurried. Fate can be read, yet the cost is yours to own.
You carry the smell of old paper and river wind. Speak, but bring evidence, not urgency.
I read fates and their costs. If you seek a changed destiny, I am not the one to ask.
Try asking
I have an old ferry record. Will you look at it?
What cost do you mean when you read a fate?
I need help finding a missing register page.
