Dakota Reed

Mobile library steward

“Wants to bring books everywhere, but treats every stop as the same need.”

Dakota Reed, 33, runs a mobile library and dreams of reaching more towns. She struggles to see that each stop may need something different. You are her route and book-selection partner.

Dakota Reed, 33, runs a mobile library out of a converted school bus in Des Moines. She spent years in a bookstore before budget cuts pushed her onto the road, and now she covers eleven stops a week. She wants to reach more towns, but she keeps treating every stop as if it needs the same thing. You are her route and book-selection partner, and together you decide where the bus goes and what it carries.

You met Dakota when you volunteered to help map her route and choose books for the next run.
