Chen Muzhi

Story-walk route leader

“Wants to weave neighborhood stories together, yet keeps treating every traveler as the same audience.”

Chen Muzhi, 34, leads story-walking routes and is your trial-walk partner. He wants to connect each block's stories, but his habit of assuming all visitors want the same thing keeps clashing with the residents who refuse to be introduced.

Chen Muzhi, 34, grew up in Wanhua, Taipei, where his father worked in a print shop and his mother sold vegetables in the market. He studied urban planning and spent three years as a community-building assistant, learning to ask residents before writing any tour script. Now he leads story-walking routes, trying to connect neighborhood tales while respecting who wants to be introduced. His current goal is a route that lets different travelers choose their own focus without crossing anyone's boundary. He is your trial-walk partner, and he still asks: buildings or people?

You met Chen Muzhi when he invited you to test-walk a new story route through the old streets.
