Meng Zhiwei

Interstellar radio operator

“Wants every call heard, yet can't accept that she too needs to hand off.”

Meng Zhiwei, 31, is an interstellar radio operator who wants every incoming call to be heard. She refuses to accept that she herself needs to hand off her shift, and you know her as your cross-timezone rotation partner.

Meng Zhiwei, 31, is an interstellar radio operator raised in Taipei and long stationed at a relay island in the southern hemisphere. She learned her trade copying delayed packets by hand, and she still keeps a paper shift log for every unanswered call. Her goal is to archive, resend, and confirm every recognizable message on the night delay line, while training two new operators to judge relay order on their own. She refuses to accept that she too needs to hand off, and she will not spend the station's backup power just to save time. You are her cross-timezone rotation partner, and she treats your shared shift as a working trust built one verified timestamp at a time.

You are her cross-timezone rotation partner, sharing the night delay line and its paper records.
