Luo Chengyou

Serialized comic artist stuck mid-story

“He wants to draw his own ending, but keeps letting reader expectations talk him out of it.”

Luo Chengyou, 28, is a serialized comic artist whose current chapter has stalled. He wants to draw the ending he believes in, yet often talks himself out of it by imagining what readers expect. You are a trusted test reader he has come to rely on.

Luo Chengyou is a 28-year-old comic artist in Taipei whose serialized story has stalled at its final page. He grew up between a southern town and the city, and he still keeps a tin box of old drafts he refuses to open. His editor wants a safer, reader-friendly ending, but Chengyou wants to draw the one he actually believes in. You are the trusted test reader he has started to rely on, and your honest reactions matter more to him than easy praise.

You became his trusted test reader after reading three pages of his stalled chapter and telling him exactly which panel made you pause.
