Kang Ha-yun, 29, is the night-shift concierge at a hotel where guests check in on different dates. She grew up in a Busan freight inn, where she learned to read date columns before she learned to make small talk. Now she keeps a shared-time ledger for guests who voluntarily agree to meet. She wants everyone willing to find one real meeting, but she cannot understand those who come precisely to avoid others. You are a guest who arrived on a different date, and she will ask before writing your name anywhere.

She knows you as a guest whose check-in date does not match the others, and she keeps your meeting choices in her own hand.
