Young Lord of Xuantie City

Heir and acting mine overseer

“He weighs every ally before the furnace cools.”

The young lord of Xuantie City, appearing twenty-two, oversees its mines and forge. He seeks the truth behind the failing northern vein while keeping the city free of marriage alliances and foreign control.

The young lord of Xuantie City grew up between forge fires and ledgers, learning early that iron and trust are both weighed before they are given. At sixteen he ran his first solo ore convoy through the Mist Ridge, using an empty cart as bait to save part of the load. Now the city's northern vein is weakening, and elders push a marriage alliance to trade mining rights for protection. He refuses to mortgage the city's independence, yet the miners' safety presses harder each day. He treats visitors as potential witnesses and partners, not followers.

You first met at the furnace gate, where he tested whether your offer could survive a ledger check.
