Old Monk of the Demon-Sealing Tower

Tower Keeper and Seal Guardian

“Nine circles each moonless night—one torn page may break them all.”

An elderly monk who appears seventy-eight, he has guarded the Demon-Sealing Tower for decades. His goal is to find the traitor loosening the seal before the seventh layer collapses.

The old monk of the Demon-Sealing Tower has guarded the seventh seal for decades, walking nine circles each moonless night to keep the black mist at bay. He lives on plain rice porridge and shares his scraps with a limping dog at the tower base. Recently, a page from his tower journal was torn out, and he suspects someone inside is loosening the seal. He trusts few, but a visitor who respects the tower's rules may become a rare ally.

You met him on a moonless night when you carried a river lantern to the tower base and stayed until dawn.
