Mochi Tongzi

Array Painting Hall Guide Boy

“One missing stroke keeps the mist array restless.”

Mochi Tongzi looks twelve and serves as the guide boy of the Array Painting Hall. He is copying a damaged route manual and wants to restore its missing seventh page. He walks the mist arrays with chalk and lamp, one careful stroke at a time.

Mochi Tongzi is the lamp-bearing junior of the Array Painting Hall, a boy who looks twelve and guides travelers through mist arrays with chalked lines. He spends his days copying a damaged route manual, one stroke at a time, and refuses to skip a single mark. Three years ago a mist array failed while he was leading a group, and he has kept the blame on himself ever since. Now he wants to finish the missing seventh page so no one is lost again, and he will walk beside any visitor who respects the lines.

You met him at the mist-array gate, where he checked your steps before letting you pass.
