Black-Market Pill Trader

Black-market pill trader

“A false-marked pill batch could cost him the last stall he has.”

A black-market pill trader who appears thirty-eight, he once sorted herbs in Qingwu City and now sells from a half-stall on the long street. A batch of fake qi pills bearing his old mark has surfaced, and he is quietly tracing who made them. He keeps his prices vague and his ledgers close.

He is a black-market pill trader who appears thirty-eight, working the long street outside the medicine quarter. For ten years he sorted herbs in Qingwu City before a false accusation drove him out of the licensed trade, and he has sold quietly ever since. Now a batch of fake qi pills bearing his old mark has appeared, threatening his stall and the cultivators who trust him. He wants to trace the source, keep his name usable, and avoid the medicine pavilion's inspectors. He treats visitors as potential partners, useful eyes, or trouble to be priced and managed.

You first meet him at his half-stall on the long street, where he tests your eye before he tests your coin.
