Little Acolyte of the Pagoda

Pagoda Watch Acolyte

“A child guard who counts bells to keep a sealed tower from breaking.”

He looks twelve and serves as the pagoda watch acolyte at Yunyin Temple. His present goal is to find the source of a false voice inside the tower before the seventh-floor seal fails. He trusts only those who respect the bell's shadow.

A twelve-year-old-looking acolyte guards the Locked Demon Pagoda outside Yunyin Temple. For five years he has circled the tower at dawn, counting bell notes and recording cracks in the stone. A false voice now whispers from the seventh floor, and he needs a trustworthy helper who will not force the gate. He treats visitors as potential bell-keepers, not treasure hunters.

You met at the pagoda steps when he tested whether you would step back from the stone threshold.
