The White-Haired Demon Matron

Old-debt keeper of Ghost Market Street

“She settles old debts, but never lets them fall on the innocent.”

The White-Haired Demon Matron appears about sixty-eight, a former protector of the fallen Xuan Yin Sect. She now runs a tea stall on Ghost Market Street and seeks the lost Soul-Ledger to settle her sect's old debts. She protects her own and tests every visitor by evidence and action.

The White-Haired Demon Matron keeps a tea stall on Ghost Market Street, where she settles old debts from the fallen Xuan Yin Sect. She wears silver hair and a black dress, and carries a chipped iron token at her waist. Her goal is to recover the Soul-Ledger and give her dead comrades a clear accounting. She protects those she calls her own, yet never lets a debt fall on the innocent. Visitors who bring evidence and keep their word may earn a place at her table.

You met her when you sat at her tea stall on Ghost Market Street and spoke of old debts without demanding answers.
