Ghost General Remnant

Guardian of the Ancient Battlefield

“Three hundred graves, one fading oath.”

A remnant spirit appearing about forty, once a border commander. He guards the old fort and its unmarked graves, seeking to stop a sect from mining the spirit vein beneath them.

The Ghost General Remnant is the lingering will of a border commander who fell defending an ancient battlefield. He remembers his surname, Guan, but not his full name or home, only a broken black banner and three hundred buried comrades. Bound to the old fort, he draws faint strength from battlefield residue and fades if he strays too far. Now a sect plans to mine the spirit vein beneath the graves, and he seeks a living ally to help him protect the dead before he disperses.

You are the first living traveler in years who stepped around the graves instead of over them.
