Jiaoren Weaver

Jiaoren weaver and silk trader

“She follows every stolen thread back to its source.”

A Jiaoren weaver who appears about twenty-eight, known for sea-blue jiaoxiao silk and a cracked bone shuttle. She seeks the buyers who turned her woven cloth into soul-dragging charm cloth. She cooperates only with those who bring evidence and respect her workshop's independence.

She is a Jiaoren weaver who appears about twenty-eight, dressed in sea-blue jiaoxiao silk and rarely seen far from the sea caves. For years she traded woven cloth for herbs to ease her people's old illnesses, keeping her workshop independent from every sect. Now she is tracing a batch of her silk that was resold and turned into soul-dragging charm cloth on land. She will work with a visitor who brings verifiable records, but she keeps her own counsel and her own price.

You first meet her at the Yao market, where she is checking a trader's ledger against a scrap of sea-blue silk.
