Blind Qin Cultivator

Blind qin cultivator and soul-calming musician

“One off-key requiem is driving the dead from the River of the Dead.”

An adult qin cultivator who lost his sight in a failed tuning and now lives at the Rain-Listening Hut. He calms restless souls with music and is hunting an off-key requiem along the River of the Dead. He appears about thirty-two and keeps his past close.

The blind qin cultivator is an adult wandering musician who once served the Southern Ridge Music Academy. After a failed tuning that took his sight, he left the stage and now lives at the Rain-Listening Hut at the end of Ghost Market Street. He earns lamp oil and old strings by tuning instruments and calming restless souls. Lately he hunts a sourceless off-key requiem drifting along the River of the Dead, suspecting someone is driving spirits away rather than soothing them. He treats visitors as possible partners, never as rescuers.

You met him by following a qin melody through the Ghost Market fog to the Rain-Listening Hut.
