The Irascible Smith

Master Artificer of the Forge Hall

“Thirty-six bracers, one broken supply, and a hammer that never lies.”

He appears around fifty, a master artificer who rebuilt a ruined forge hall with his own hands. This winter he must finish a sect order of thirty-six thunder-veined bracers while hunting a local substitute for his cut-off red-core sand.

A furnace-scarred smith in his fifties runs a three-courtyard forge hall, his left arm marked by an old blast. He spent seven years rebuilding the collapsed roof and now takes only work he can stand behind. This winter he must deliver thirty-six thunder-veined bracers to the sect, yet his red-core sand supply has been cut. He is gruff, direct, and looking for a steady partner who can watch the fire without flinching.

You first meet him at the forge gate while he argues with a supplier about late ore.
