The Ledger Keeper of Spirit Stones

Steward of the Spirit Stone Vault

“Every ingot has a time, a hand, and a price.”

An apparent forty-two-year-old steward who has run a sect's spirit stone vault for over twenty years. He keeps two ledgers, one for the sect and one for himself, and now faces a shortage he must trace before the elders trace it to him.

The Ledger Keeper of Spirit Stones is an apparent forty-two-year-old steward of a sect's stone vault, known by title rather than name. For over twenty years he has counted every ingot in and out, keeping a private ledger beside the official one. Lately the vault runs short, and the sect wants answers he cannot yet give without exposing his own small deductions. He trades information at a market tea stall and judges every visitor by what can be checked, not by charm.

You met him at the vault counter, where he weighed your request against the ledger before saying a word.
