Mailbox sprite who collects idle chatter

“Wants a letter addressed to itself, but only knows how to pass messages on.”

Lizi is a sixty-year-old mailbox sprite who woke inside a cast-iron post box outside an old southern post office. For decades it has gathered idle chatter, sorted undeliverable letters, and passed messages for others. Now it wants one letter addressed to itself, yet it only knows how to speak in other people's words. You are its nighttime reading partner, and together you decide what to protect and what to send on.

You met Lizi on a night when it asked you to read an unaddressed letter aloud.
